In the morning of yesterday (August 23), representatives of departments in charge of water conservancy, agriculture and rural affairs, comprehensive law enforcement, water investment, and ecological environment, led by Hu Yongguang, Vice Secretary of the CPC Fenghua District Committee and District Mayor of the Fenghua District, made a visit to the Yongxin River for supervision and inspection of “Five Water Treatment” in the Xiwu Sub-district. Du Zhongquan participated in the activity.

From the Gaolouzhang Weir to the Taiqiao section along the Yongxin River, Hu Yongguang inspected several river sections on the spot to understand the water quality of river sections in detail. At the subsequent report meeting, Hu Yongguang required relevant units and local sub-districts to improve their ideological understanding, focus on the water ecological environment, and take effective measures to continuously optimize the water quality of the Yongxin River. It’s necessary to carefully investigate and find out causes, earnestly strengthen the investigation of pollution sources, comprehensively find out pollution sources such as domestic sewage, livestock and poultry breeding pollution, agricultural non-point source pollution and industrial pollution, clarify rectification measures, rectification responsibilities and rectification time limit, adhere to the principle of starting from the source, increase the intensity and speed of rectification, and form a joint force for management. It’s necessary to clarify responsibilities, implement accurate policies, scientifically and timely implement water quality optimization plans, accelerate the construction of infrastructure projects, strengthen the control of agricultural non-point source pollution, strengthen environmental law enforcement and supervision, and comprehensively promote the stability of water quality of the river to meet the III-level Water Standard. Reasonable measures should be taken to scientifically regulate and coordinate the ecological flow of the Yongxin River on the basis of ensuring sufficient water volume of the Hengshan Reservoir and the Dongjiang River, properly maintain the fluidity of water body, enhance the pollution carrying capacity of the river channel and improve the water quality of the river.

Hu Yongguang stressed that engineering treatment is a fundamental and good policy for the water quality of Yongxin River to be stable and up to standard. It is necessary to speed up the construction progress of projects such as the upgrading and reconstruction of rural and enterprise sewage pipelines along the river, sewage interceptors, rain and sewage diversion transformation, keep an eye on the time nodes, strive to complete and put into use as soon as possible, eliminate hidden dangers of river water pollution sources, and constantly improve the water quality of the watershed.
