National fitness carried out to welcome the Asian Games - Outdoor hiking becomes popular
In recent years, hiking has become an increasingly popular outdoor activity. There are also many hiking enthusiasts in our district who would walk along ancient trails and in mountainous areas in various places, integrating into nature and enjoying a healthy lifestyle. Recently, the reporter followed several hiking enthusiasts to experience a hiking trip on the Bijiashan Mountain.
At 7:30 am, the reporter arrived at the foot of the Bijiashan Mountain as scheduled. At this point, about six or seven hiking enthusiasts were already waiting there, and some even arrived by running from 4 or 5 kilometers away. The Bijiashan Mountain is located in the Xiwu Subdistrict, with an altitude of over 400 meters. It is surrounded by mountains and has a series of strange peaks, each shaped like a pen holder, hence its name of Bijiashan Mountain. The Bijiashan Mountain hiking route is about 4 to 5 kilometers long, which can only be considered a beginners' route. For hiking enthusiasts, they prefer the Bijiashan Mountain Ring Road, which is more than 10 kilometers long. Along the way, reporters can always see the signs marked along the way and the marks left by each team. It is learnt that in recent years, this hiking route has become a frequently visited route by surrounding enthusiasts.
On that day, hiking enthusiasts walked up the mountain road, enjoying the natural scenery, breathing fresh air, and enjoying the beauty of nature. "We are sports enthusiasts from the Chunhu Subdistrict, and have been running or hiking for over 10 years. We often spontaneously organize various running activities and participate in marathons across the country. Today, we come to the Bijiashan Mountain to practice and to welcome the arrival of the Asian Games with our actions." Hiking enthusiast Shen Lifang told reporters that they have many friends with common interests, and that they would climb mountains and run together, challenging and surpassing themselves time and time again, not only exercising their bodies, honing their willpower, but also cultivating teamwork spirit.
It's learnt that in 2018, our district completed fitness trails of 963.5 kilometers long, ranking the first among all districts, counties, and cities in the province in terms of the total length and intelligent level of the trails. Each ancient trail is equipped with trail pillars. Hiking enthusiasts can scan the code on the pillars with their mobile phones to get to know their current locations, longitudes and latitudes, altitudes, weather, and to have access to route planning and navigation, as well as information such as surrounding homestays and farmhouses. Over the past two years, fitness trails have been organically integrated with urban greenways, extending to over 1,100 kilometers in length, attracting more people to participate in hiking.
