Our district conducts a construction site fire emergency drill

In order to actively respond to the call of the district's fire safety action and further enhance the ability to self-rescue in case of fire, yesterday, the Office of the District Construction Professional Committee (District Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau) organized a construction site fire emergency drill activity in the FH21-01-10b block for a resettlement housing project. More than 200 people, including heads of the District Safety Committee Office, the District Construction Special Committee Office, the District Fire Rescue Brigade, Urban Construction Offices of various towns (subdistricts), relevant department heads of member units of the District Construction Special Committee, all supervisory personnel of the District Quality and Safety Station, as well as heads of the quality and safety departments of some construction and supervision enterprises, participated in the event.

On that day, the on-site personnel firstly focused on watching a short video of safety warning education during the construction site fire safety emergency rescue drill. Subsequently, a fire escape emergency rescue drill was carried out, simulating the process of construction operations where a fire accidentally caught fire and thick smoke caused high-altitude workers to faint. The project department immediately activated the emergency plan to organize rescue, truly demonstrating the complete process of the occurrence, reporting, evacuation, firefighting, and rescue of a fire accident. The entire drill process was tense and in order, with meticulous deployment and prominent focus. Participants had clear division of labor, tacit cooperation, quick response, and proper handling.

It is reported that since the beginning of this year, the District Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department has actively organized and carried out fire safety training for the housing and construction system, and jointly carried out fire safety inspections on construction sites with fire rescue teams, which has improved the comprehensive fire safety literacy of all employees in the construction industry and further created a safe environment for the high-quality development of our district.
