In the morning of August 21, with the completion of the final concrete pouring, the first phase of the renovation and expansion project of the Fenghua District Maternal and Child Health Hospital, invested and constructed by the Fenghua District Investment Group, was successfully completed, marking a new stage in the construction of the project.

It is reported that the project is planned to be constructed in three phases. The first phase is adjacent to the Yuelin East Road on the south, the Xinhu Road on the east, the urban planning park on the north, and the original hospital on the west. The total land area is 5,464 square meters, with a total construction area of 14,029.52 square meters and a total investment of about 140 million yuan. It is proposed to build a new administrative office building (including logistics rooms) and a medical auxiliary comprehensive building for the Maternal and Child Health Hospital. After the project is completed and put into use, it will further optimize the allocation of medical and health resources, better meet the office needs of medical administrative personnel and the medical service needs of women and children in surrounding areas.

Since the start of construction at the end of December 2023, the project construction party has continuously optimized the construction plan, planned the site and time reasonably, coordinated various construction resources, seized the golden season of construction, accelerated construction, and made every effort to optimize the construction period. The completion time is three months ahead of schedule. "For the next step, the project will enter the stage of equipment installation and decoration, and is expected to be officially put into use in November 2025, and that would be five months ahead of the original plan," the project manager Ye Zengjie told reporters.
