The Fenghua District Market Regulatory Administration carries out a special inspection before the Spring Festival for food safety

Recently, it's learnt from the Fenghua District Market Regulatory Administration that since December 18, the Administration has carried out multiple pre-holiday food safety inspections. This special action will continue until the end of the Spring Festival holiday to ensure that the public has a happy, peaceful, and safe Spring Festival.

In the morning of January 8, the reporters followed law enforcement officers to the Nanshan Branch of Sanjiang Supermarket. At the scene, law enforcement officers focused on hot selling foods such as vegetables, fruits, meat, eggs, and milk that have a high demand during the festival. They carefully examined the records of certification and purchase inspection, as well as environmental hygiene, food labeling, storage control, "two certificates" for meat products, and self-inspection of foods soon to be expired. They also urged operators to strictly implement their main responsibility for food safety, conscientiously implement the system of procurement inspection and certification, and strictly prohibit the purchase, storage, and sale of food without traceability certificates or unknown sources, so as to ensure that they operate in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and with integrity as well.

"We supervise and inspect various types of business entities, focusing on checking for behaviors that disrupt market order such as hoarding, price fraud, false advertising, and selling counterfeit and inferior goods." Law enforcement officers remind consumers to pay attention to identifying the production date, storage conditions, and manufacturer of the goods when purchasing, to ensure that high-quality and reassuring products are purchased.
