The Fenghua District Red Cross youth volunteers carry out Qingming Festival tomb-sweeping activities

The spring grass is green again, and the Qingming Festival returns. On March 30, the Fenghua District Red Cross Caring Volunteer Service Team organized 25 Red Cross youth volunteers to go to the Fenghua District Martyrs' Cemetery to carry out the Qingming Festival tomb-sweeping activity with the theme of "Honoring Martyrs and Inheriting their Legacy during the Qingming Festival".

In the morning on that day, young volunteers dressed in neat team uniforms and wore bright red scarves, holding white chrysanthemums, orderly walked into the cemetery surrounded by green cypress and pine trees under the guidance of members of the Red Cross Caring Volunteer Service Team.

In front of the Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial, volunteers told young volunteers about the heroic deeds of the revolutionary martyrs in the cemetery. Youth volunteer representatives presented flower baskets to the Revolutionary Martyrs Monument. Then, everyone bowed and observed a 3-minute silence, expressing their reverence, gratitude, and determination to inherit the legacy of these revolutionary martyrs.

After the moment of silence, under the bright flag, 25 young volunteers solemnly raised their right fists and recited their oath of joining the team. Their clear and firm voices echoed in the cemetery. After the brief yet solemn ceremony, the young volunteers placed the white chrysanthemums in front of the martyrs' tomb, expressing their deep remembrance and high respect for the martyrs.
