May 30 this year marks the ninth National Sci-Tech Workers' Day, with this year's theme being "Commitment to Innovation-Driven Development, Building a Sci-Tech Powerhouse". On May 14, the Fenghua District Association for Science and Technology organized a "Calligraphy Gathering to Promote the Spirit of Scientists". Local calligraphers from Fenghua expressed their admiration through brushstrokes, creating thematic pieces of work to honor sci-tech workers.

At the event, calligraphers inscribed phrases like "Quest," "Embrace Simplicity," and "Soar" on rice paper, employing various scripts including seal, clerical, regular, and running styles. All artworks created will be presented to outstanding sci-tech workers of the year, conveying societal support and expectations for technological innovation.

"This is a tribute to scientific dedication through traditional art, and a way to enrich the soil of innovation with cultural power," said Wang Yijian, Chairman of the Fenghua District Association for Science and Technology. He noted that promoting the spirit of scientists through calligraphy aims to foster a favorable atmosphere of respect for talents.
