High-Rise Building Fire Escape Drill Strengthens Safety Defenses
Recently, the Fenghua District Emergency Response Bureau organized a high-rise building fire escape drill in the Xikou Town. Combining theoretical explanations, hands-on demonstrations, and simulated exercises, the event delivered an engaging "safety lesson" while fostering a strong atmosphere for the 24th National "Work Safety Month".
At the event, staff highlighted critical fire escape techniques using real-life case studies and demonstrated the "lift, pull, grip, press" steps for fire extinguisher operation as well as rapid hose connection methods. As the alarm sounded, the drill shifted to a practical phase, proceeding in a tense yet orderly manner, effectively testing the community's emergency response mechanisms and multi-party coordination capabilities.
"June marks the 24th National 'Work Safety Month', themed 'Safety for All, Emergency Preparedness for Everyone—Identify Hidden Hazards Around Us'. Safeguarding a secure environment is everyone's responsibility. We urge the public to proactively inspect risks such as household wiring and clutter in building corridors to collectively strengthen our safety defenses," said a relevant official from the Fenghua District Emergency Response Bureau.
