On June 5, at the national main event for the June 5th Environment Day 2025, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China announced the "Beautiful China, I am a Participant" Advanced Model List 2025. Among them, the Jianling Village in Dayan Town of our district was successfully listed in the Community Environmental Protection Public Participation Advanced Model Cases 2025 for its "Jianling Practice—Mass Public Co-Governance Paints a Zero-Carbon Village" project, becoming a benchmark for rural ecological governance nationwide.

Located upstream of the Hengshan Reservoir, a drinking water source, the Jianling Village once faced dual pressures of water source protection and economic development. Confronted with the dilemma of "waste surrounding the village", the Jianling Village aimed to create Zhejiang Province's first "zero-pollution village" and established an innovative governance system of "mass public participation + circular economy + ecological education". In terms of mass public co-governance, the Jianling Village pioneered an "eco-friendly market", setting 23 categories of waste recycling standards and conducting 70 sessions of activities, covering 18,620 participants. Meanwhile, each household was equipped with household waste sorting bins, processing 120 kg of kitchen waste daily and producing 80 tons of compost annually, achieving ecological return to farmland and reducing chemical fertilizer use by 80%. By implementing the "Jianling Village Eco-Environment Friendly Village Convention", the village established an "eco-points—welfare exchange" incentive mechanism, where villagers earn points through environmental actions like waste sorting and enzyme production, redeemable for benefits such as homestay vouchers and priority sales rights for agricultural products. Additionally, the Jianling Village developed enzyme agriculture through the "Jianling Shareholding Economic Cooperative", promoting green industrial development and increasing villagers' income.

The Jianling Village's innovative practices have yielded remarkable environmental benefits. Currently, the village has achieved a 90% reduction in household waste, 100% resource utilization of kitchen waste, improved surface water quality from Class III to Class I, and a 40% increase in biodiversity recovery rate. It has also generated significant economic and social benefits, with eco-product premium rates exceeding 200%, and enzyme agricultural products bringing over 200,000 yuan in collective income. By integrating environmental concepts into rural customs, the Jianling Village's successful experience provides a vivid model for achieving rural revitalization and sustainable development.
