The catering market "steaming hot" with New Year's Eve dinner reservations booming

As the Chinese New Year approaches and the festive atmosphere intensifies, many citizens have started to book New Year's Eve dinners, and the catering market becomes "steaming hot". Recently, during visits to multiple restaurants, reporters learnt that private room bookings on New Year's Eve are booming, and the limited number of round tables in the lobby have also become popular.

The reporter arrived at the Tengtou Ecological Hotel and as soon as he walked into the lobby, he saw a sign that reads "Hot Reservation for New Year's Eve Dinner", attracting many customers to stay. According to Chen Yongkang, Executive General Manager of the hotel, this year's Spring Festival is earlier than those in previous years, and many companies have taken early holidays, so there are currently more companies booking halls for annual meetings compared to previous years. "Last December, 5 or 6 companies made reservations, and in this January, more than 10 companies made reservations. The dishes are mainly fixed combinations, with designated drinks and beverages available for free. The average price per person ranges from 150 yuan to 250 yuan." Compared with previous years, prices have generally decreased this year, and the reunion dinner at noon on New Year's Eve has become a new favorite, while the private rooms for New Year's Eve dinner have been mostly booked out. Chen Yongkang said:" Many people began to make reservations for the New Year's Eve dinner since November last year, and currently most of them have ordered dinners from New Year's Eve to the third day of the Chinese New Year."

At the Wulingyuan Restaurant on Dacheng Road, it's learnt that the 2025 New Year's Eve dinner is also being eagerly booked. "Before the menu came out, customers called to inquire," said Dong Xin, General Manager of the Wulingyuan Hotel, "booking the New Year's Eve dinner two months in advance is not considered early." In our catering industry, some people would start booking the New Year's Eve dinner one year in advance and wait until 10 to 20 days before the Chinese New Year to book, you may not be able to find a place." According to Dong Xin, the three Wulingyuan Restaurants in Fenghua have a total of more than 90 private rooms and can accommodate more than 1,300 people dining at the same time.
